Ian 'Paisley' Murphy is a financial trader and author based in Limerick, Ireland. His first book, Way of the Trader is a non-fiction guide to the art of financial trading and was published in hardback in 2019 by Harriman House (part of Pan Macmillan). A paperback edition for the Indian subcontinent, and two Chinese language versions followed in 2020. An audio book was released in 2025. He also writes fiction under the name 'Paisley Murphy’. Ian has two adult children and has been known to scuba dive on occasion.
